About

About Kay Cromwell:

I’ve been interested in genealogy for quite some time.  It all started as a class project for my dear niece- when she was very young – age five.  The kids were assigned to bring home information about their family as part of a class project.  We were digging thru some old photos that I had retrieved some 10 years prior when we found a query letter from someone searching for relatives.

This particular box of photos had come to me when my aunt passed away, so I had no way of knowing if she had answered the query.  The letter was dated thirty years prior.

Long story short – that letter sent me on a journey.  We called the number up and I’ve been researching my family roots ever since.  My niece is nearly grown now and likely doesn’t even remember the class project that started it all.

I thoroughly enjoy genealogy.  It’s like a treasure hunt that just never ends.  I keep trying to push back my tree farther and farther.  So far, I’ve reached back in time to the 1600s and it just thrills me to think about it.  It’s like I’ve brought new life to long lost ancestors.

I want to share the knowledge I’ve gained along the way with others.  That’s why I’ve put together the information you find here.  I sincerely hope that you come to love this hobby as much as I do!

Kind Regards,

Kay
